Everton midfielder James Rodriguez has flown to Dubai as his transfer from the Premier League club edges closer.

A selfie taken with a fan at Manchester Airport this afternoon and posted to Instagram suggested that the Colombian was taking a flight out of the northwest and this was followed by a tweet by Pipe Sierra, a journalist from Colombia who reported that he was in talks with a club in the UAE.

James against TOTThe club he is set to join is not yet known but with the player having expressed his desire to leave Goodison Park, it seems that Rafa Benitez has granted him his wish.

Sierra claimed that Everton had given James the green light to hold talks in Dubai and the reporter later tweeted that an agreement between the two parties was close.
