Man City release third kit for the 2021/22 season
Man City release third kit for the 2021/22 season and it looks like the best so far, Manchester City have unveiled their third kit for the 2021/22 season.
Manchester City fans have slammed the Etihad Stadium club and Puma for producing the ‘worst kit of all-time’.
Having coasted to a third Premier League title in four seasons, home and away shirts have already been released as £100million signing Jack Grealish and co continue to sport the new looks.
However, while responses to those two kits has, generally, been positive, the same cannot be said for the navy blue number which is set to hit the shelves.
As per these initial leaked images from FootyHeadlines, the strip will take a unique approach by not having the City crest feature prominently on the front of the design.
Instead, sports manufacturers Puma have this season decided to replace badges with the club’s name – as the brand have done with a number of other high-profile teams they supply.
Needless to say, that disregard for tradition is one of several issues people have pointed to in their verdicts.
According to PUMA, and the club, “the brand aims to challenge convention, innovate, and bring fresh products to football,”
The jersey, navy blue in colour has some light blue detailing features, innovative use of the Club’s crest as a tonal repeat graphic embossed into the fabric.
“I wanted something different, and we definitely got that, I really like the design because the badge may change over time, but the name will live on forever”, said City skipper Fernandinho.
