Man City transfer update and Kane alternative as Tottenham keep twisting Harry Kane deal. Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola is desperate on ending the summer transfer window strongly after their losing start to the new Premier League season to Tottenham. Their main target is Harry Kane but Manchester City now have alternatives.

The Cityzens are looking forward to make the most of the final 11 days of the transfer window.

Manchester City were defeated 1-0 by Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of their 2021 Premier League season, who were without Pep Guardiola’s priority target, Harry Kane.

Report says that Tottenham Spurs are unwilling to sell Kane for less than £160million which has led to alternatives being eyed from east Manchester City.

Manchester City rarely leaves their business until this late in the window but the signing of Ruben Dias from Benfica last year proved that the best deals are not always done early.

Despite the club’s £100million acquisition of Jack Grealish, Guardiola’s task has gotten even harder after title rivals Chelsea signed Romelu Lukaku for almost the same price.

Kane alternative shut down

Manchester City are now looking at Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic as an alternative if the Spurs fail to accept their bid these coming days.

The Serbian scored 21 goals in 37 league games last season to catapult himself into prominence on the continent.

Several reports of an €80million bid from City circulated on Wednesday evening but Rocco Commisso has spoken out on the rumours.

Already said that it would take €100m for the striker to leave La Viola, Commisso has now doubled down on not selling Vlahovic in an interview with Tgr Rai-Toscana.

“Vlahovic has never been put up for sale by Fiorentina,” the owner said via Corriere dello Sport.

“What is happening is that everyone is moving, the agents who want to make more money, as well as some teams, since we are at the end of the transfer market. It’s true that there is news concerning him, but the right offer has not yet arrived, and even if it does, I don’t think Vlahovic will go away.”

Commisso also added that Fiorentina had offered their 21-year-old starlet, also linked with Tottenham Hotspur, improved terms to stay ahead of the new campaign.

“We offered him a very expensive contract, the most expensive ever made in the history of the club, and the boy agrees,” he revealed,

“There is a lot of money, and I’m happy for him, but the contract has to be extended and renewed.

“Later, if the boy is going to go away, we can talk about it, but not this year.”

Juventus ‘interested’ in Laporte

The Times report that Aymeric Laporte has attracted interest from Italian giants Juventus.

It is believed that the Spain international is keen on leaving the Etihad this summer due to the form of Ruben Dead and John Stones last season.

However, much like with fellow wantaway Bernardo Silva, the financials at play are making it ‘ difficult ‘ for Laporte to find a club.

The center-back is on a reported £160,000-a-week wage and given that clubs are still reeling from the effects of Covid-19, he may not get his desired move.

The Daily Mail claims that Rogers is ‘in talks’ over a temporary move to Championship outfit Bournemouth, with a £9million obligation to buy in 2022.

The Premier League champions are also ‘likely’ to include their own sell-on clause in the deal.

Rogers, 19, scored six goals and provided assists for Lincoln City in 20-21 in 25 appearances before the Imps lost the League One play-off final to Blackpool.
