Manchester United have agreed a £72.9million deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
The streetvip News understands United have agreed to pay £72.9m (€85m) up front with no add-ons, despite Dortmund’s attempts to negotiate a higher fee overall.
Earlier this month Sancho, 21, had agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with United and the club has reached a breakthrough with his transfer fee.
Manchester City will receive 15% of the Sancho fee owing to a sell-on clause they negotiated as part of his £8m move to Dortmund in 2017.
Sancho’s salary was a stumbling block during negotiations last year but United resolved his personal terms swiftly in order to settle on a fee with Dortmund.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and with two years left on Sancho’s contract, Dortmund had little choice but to cash-in on one of their most sellable assets this summer.
